Trust, I understand your frustration, as best I can as a white guy. But please remember that it's the shitheads that the media loves. You never hear about the tens of millions of us that wouldn't tolerate this crap, and who would support the victims of it, right down the line. That doesn't make news. It seems some in the general population just don't understand the idea of free speech, and the penalty for expressing one's opinion is not death by lynching. Maybe it's a sign of the political times where politicians are allowed to be incredibly disrespectful that the level of trust is at an all-time low. I think we have become too polarized to realize how to behave.
