PO1 Tony Holland I wish the media would do the responsible thing and wait until they have real data before reporting it. Speculation is not treated as such in the aftermath of this type of event. It is dangerous. Right now the police should be allowed to investigate, and we as human beings should be focused on helping those impacted by this tragedy.

A quick google search will reveal lots of ways to modify a weapon to fire full auto. Doesn't make them legal to own. the trigger crank has been around for a long time, ok for shooting from the hip but I have found the operation uncomfortable firing from the shoulder as in when aiming at a target.

That sounds reasonable, Colonel. What must be considered is that he was firing at a large area filled with about 20-30,000 targets. There have been reports of platforms for the weapons, possibly locking in the aiming at that general area crammed with all those individual targets of his violence.
Precision in aiming was not needed for his goal of slaughter.
