A fascinating tale. Also fascinating, for me, were the photos credited to A. Aubrey Bodine. It's a name very familiar to me. I grew up reading the Baltimore Sun newspaper and its Sunday edition always included a special section featuring Bodine's photos. None were like those included here. They were studies of the scenery of Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay. He inspired my youthful interest in photography and photojournalism (which was supplanted by a gaggle of other interests as I met other masters of their crafts).
One paragraph really caught my attention...
"The U.S. Office of Strategic Services, the predecessor of the CIA, had its own hand-to-hand fighting system, designed by British expert William E. Fairbairn, which emphasized techniques such as palm strikes and knee-to-groin attacks."
Is it fair to say that the OSS was the predecessor of the CIA"? Yes, the OSS came before the CIA but I see little resemblance between them.

I've got some Photos I wish I could share. I'm going to contact the principal in those pics and see if they are ok with it as the guy is a former MOSSAD. Current Tank Commander.

Taught US soldiers to fight dirty? Is there any other way when fighting for your life? Way to much media out that makes war proper, exciting, and glorified.
