Thanks for sharing the good news that a horse was rescued from a flood area Sgt Kelli Mays. That must have been very challenging to rescue a terrified horse.

There is massive controversy over that situation from Locals. Some state that the stable owner was given enough advanced warning and failed to execute an appropriate evacuation in time. While others state that there wasn't enough advanced warning to remove all the horses. One claim is that horses were tied to fences and left to die, while the other claim is that the got away from their handlers and got tangled in the fences. I'm just glad the horses got help, but I can't help but wonder if peoples lives were unnecessarily risked to save them.

SPC Anna Larson Seems like there are quite a few different claims/stories. Hopefully, non are true. We have had massive thunderstorms with down pour of rains in Texas for past few weeks...it's flooding in places that have never flooded before. I hope they got all of the horses.

Sgt Kelli Mays - I have not heard everything, but claims of 70-100 horses located at the farm and a few (less than 10) didn't make it. One can't believe every single internet claim, but there are two vastly different claims surrounding this incident. One thing that is consistent however is that there are still horses missing or dead.
