Veteran MSG Dan Talley Bio
Dan Talley is a veteran of a thirty- three year marriage, twenty-eight year military career and three wars. His varied occupations include years of leadership in the military, education, manufacturing, religious, and civic organizations. God, through this experiential education, amassed within this storyteller numerous tales to be told.
Service in combat with Sam, then twenty year old son, 2010 brought new perspectives. Subsequent depression, suicidal thoughts, PTSD, and medical conditions led to medical retirement for both Father and Son.

My platoon assists my son's to...recover blown VIC, search area/bldg, detain two locals, deal with village protest...and snap a Father/Son pic before loading up.

There is intrinsic value in these meetings. Perhaps you will get a new perspective or find a piece to the puzzle you are working on.
The very journey you are undertaking has thousands of foot prints before you. I will revert to military thinking again. A Quartering Party does a route recon and finds a suitable place and disposition of the main body. They return to share this information. For those who have healed enough, they can be the quartering party for you to tell you how and where to go.
