There has been much controversy about the Presidency of John F. Kennedy... I was in the USAF during his Presidency and followed him closely... In my view, a President for the People, a Presidency with a vision, a Presidency with the soul objective of keeping the Freedom of Mankind alive and prosperous... As I perused some material worth posting I came upon this JFK Speech... It may have been ahead of its time or perhaps it was never meant to be, but in any case it is a poignant speech that transcends time, in my opinion...
I bring this to you as a piece of United States History, a part of what was then, and a part of what we are involved in today... History always seems to play a part in the future... Not sure why, but it does... JFK's speech was prepared for a broad audience, but this is what "TheSOTTReport" stated in its headline for this speech presentation:
"A portion of the speech that President John F. Kennedy gave at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel on April 27, 1961, entitled: "The President and the Press". The speech was given before the American Newspaper Publishers Association." - TheSOTTReport
I hope you find this worthy of consideration as we wade through a most difficult time in our United States History...
Kerry
