I think the real possibility for blockchain is outside of currency. Currency runs afoul of government and central banks. Managing legal entities such as contracts seems a much more likely attractive investment. Note that Microsoft has a significant implementation available in Azure.

Digital currency is the way of the future, for sure. Probably won't happen in my lifetime, but wouldn't it be interesting to see the changes in the world if the whole world adopted something like Bitcoin?
