No mention of an unappealing candidate or Russia hacking, I am surprised by that but the rest of the article is all superfluous conjecture based on the subconscious. Give me a break. The ideology of the Left today mirrors Communism. If you don't think like us then you are the enemy is the narrative and that is the message that turned off the Trump voters. If you don't think like us then you are ignorant and not as refined as us, the enlightened. And the reason the Left will not win the Trump voters back for the 2020 election is because of the #Resist Movement. It has already played out on a ball field in D.C., and last night night in Georgia. Trump voters have turned off the MSM and Hollywood. The #MSM narrative has a smaller and smaller audience which coincides with the 4 Special Elections where Democrats are winning nowhere.

Good points, LTC (Join to see)… but our bicameral system is closer to mirror images than diametrically opposed opposites. All politicians are fattened by PACs and lobbyists and driven more by self-interests than the needs of their constituents.

The growing right vs. left rhetoric only serves to distract us from the truth.

But, to quote Dennis Miller… that’s just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Capt Dwayne Conyers - I agree with that. You'd have a better article with that then the nuances of subliminal subconscious of race.... as in the article. But, if I may point out that it is the voter of one political stripe that is cleaning house of the representatives that fail them and only serve their personal interest. The Republicans are in hull defilade because we shall see more establishment types being primaried out.

Capt Dwayne Conyers - I once defended a position in school for my degree that the political spectrum is not linear, but circular. I was of course laughed at, but now I seem to be vindicated. Your points about PAC's and lobbyists is spot on and what I was arguing, that politicians know what side of their bread is buttered and sure aren't going to do anything to stop the butter. The only real legislation they do is gerrymandering their districts to get re-elected, since re-election is the first job of any politician. Once you go down this road, all politicians lose contact with the people that put them in office. That is why, I believe, so many people are against Trump, he was beholden to no one...

Capt Dwayne Conyers I don't know if I agree with these surveys. It really doesn't capture all the reasons why people voted for Trump. I voted for him because he was an outsider and I wanted something different in Washington, instead of the same politicians I see year after year. That's me though - I don't know how many would agree with my reason!

Great points, COL Mikel J. Burroughs… but are the media or other pundits actually stopping POTUS from doing anything?

He signed a $h!tload of executive orders… commentary never stopped him.

He beat Barry’s golfing record… the critics haven't slowed him down.

And… unlike his predecessor… he has unchallenged backing of Congress.

Is it really a cacophony of naysaying that is holding things back?

Could there be mutiny in the nursery?

Ink wiring minds would love to know.

Capt Dwayne Conyers - No he's getting stuff done, but I think the he would be moving at an even faster pace without all the distractions or maybe not! I'm not disappointed - only in our media and the way some people are acting!

PS. Even though I didn't like Clinton, I would have still treated her with respect like I did all the other Presidents I served under going back to Carter. That's just me though!

I'm of the same opinion as COL Mikel J. Burroughs on why I voted for Trump. I wanted to throw a wrench into the system, and Trump is the wrench. This is also the same position held by everyone I know who voted for Trump. It had nothing to do with cultural issues such as race and identity mentioned in the article.

I voted for him mainly for the same reasons you did. And the fact that I am an avid Anti-Clinton addict. I couldn't stand what her husband did to my Military when I was in closing all the bases he did. Keeping ones open for friends that did things for him. She was a bad candidate plain and simple. And she lost plain and simple. I guess it is just the left that still cannot come to terms with that obvious point.
