One thing I read earlier was that because she was dishonorably discharged she will receive zero VA benefits (this means no gender reassignment surgery on the VA's dime).
She also gets no soldier's grave.

1stSgt Eugene Harless - Manning deserves neither. Manning is a traitor. I have no sympathy whatsoever. Manning made a conscious choice to betray this country. Manning deserves nothing but derision and contempt.

LTC Orlando Illi - I agree, its part of his sentence that was upheld. He was not given a full pardon. President Obama let the sentence itself stand. He just commuted the time to time served.
I foresee Manning not being around very long after he enjoys his 15 minutes of fame after his release. Manning is a self centered piece of shit who will be found dead of an overdose within a few years. Not wishing it on him, just reading the tea leaves.

PO1 John Miller - She ( he) is a member of the LGBT community. They don't get to pick and choose who identifies themselves as such. I'm sure many of the LBGT veteran community abhor what he has done. Manning still is a part of that society and has supporters from there as well.
