I got mine after leaving Vietnam. It was Sept 67 and Discharge ate was at the end of November. I got in a fight about my uniform, finally took their new greens so I could leave the next day. I had no idea where I was and I didn't want to be there.

I had a tailor made TW uniform with all of the medals, badges and do-hickeys sewn on. My wife had it made for me. They got me with the 6th Army wore greens all year. I got their uniform then changed at the USO in Philly Airport

I have to admit my last month in the Navy I was so OFP getting my DD214 just made it official.
