PO1 Tony Holland When a Skipper is directed to go in harms way, like the commanding officers before them, they will set the sea and anchor detail, single up all lines, shift from shore power to sea power cast off all lines and proceed as directed.

Very true. I lost track of the number of times we heard about 'sitting at the wrong end of the long green table without a coffee cup' at the schoolhouse. I never once experienced a CO, XO, TAO, or OOD who considered that possibility first before taking action.
