Originally from Westminster, Maryland, CAPT Casey was commissioned in 1997 from the United States Naval Academy, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Following her commission, she attended the University of Cambridge, Trinity College, England where she earned her Master’s degree in International Relations with a specialty on the U.N. sanctions against Iraq.
CAPT Casey’s operational tours include Surface Direct Support Officer out of Naval Security Group Activity Northwest; Electronic Warfare Officer on the USS ARTHUR W RADFORD (DD-968) deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM; Commander 2nd Fleet Cryptologic Resource Coordinator; National Security Agency’s Officer in Charge of Cryptologic Support Group-Afghanistan in Kabul deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM; and as the Deputy Information Warfare Commander on Carrier Strike Group ONE on board USS CARL VINSON (CVN-70) deployed in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE.
