I am sharing this song in honor of my mom who died in September 2001 with me by her side. She loved Herb Albert in the 1960s and 1970s before she was stricken with Alzheimer's.
This is a classic love song IMHO. I was never a big fan of Herb Albert but my mom was. I st by her side and prayed for he as she died on September 28, 2001. The that morning I had my per-mobilization physical.

This song was one of the top songs at Our
AFJROTC Regional Military Ball in ‘71 and at our Senior Prom the same spring.
I was in the AF Reserve already by spring ‘71 and managed to get a Mess Dress to wear from someone in the Wing at the Reserve Base. When my former Commandant and the Cadet Cmdr. Invited me. So the ball was on Friday night in Livonia, Mi. and the Prom the next night held in the Field house used by the AFJROTC. They really spiffed that plsce up for that prom.. I was surprised at the behavior of the non ROTC students
They respected the building and it’s infrastructure.. most are good people. But even the rabble-rousers acted like young gentle people and respected what the ROTC had invested into caring for that building. In appreciation in their respect in return for use of the building
A formal declaration by the AFJROTC Squadron , its Commandant and former Cadets (I wasn’t the only one attending)
was presented the night of graduation to the School and it’s Senior Class , which I
Was also a member of .
