This post is not on target, but I want to share this poem with the group. I want to expound on a process and experience that has helped me with mindfulness, hope, and acknowledging the beauty in the world. My journey to the forest was often a spiritual moment.

I AM GOLD

I take a seat against the tree.
My jeans become dirty.
I lose myself in this random world.
The forest welcomes me.
I absorb what surrounds me.
Clouds float in the blue sky above.
There is a flitter of sunlight through the trees.
The leaves whispers their existence.
A slight breeze brushes and cools my cheeks.
The sweet scent of wildflowers wafts in the air.
The world illuminates beauty.
I look around and smile.
Perhaps I will find myself again.
I am gold.
