I know this will upset some liberals who are sure they are right despite the facts...
The study, which just appeared in Volume 30, Number 2 of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy (pp. 649-694), set out to answer the question in its title: “Would Banning Firearms Reduce Murder and Suicide? A Review of International and Some Domestic Evidence.” Contrary to conventional wisdom, and the sniffs of our more sophisticated and generally anti-gun counterparts across the pond, the answer is “no.” And not just no, as in there is no correlation between gun ownership and violent crime, but an emphatic no, showing a negative correlation: as gun ownership increases, murder and suicide decreases.

Criminals are more afraid of someone that knows how to use weapons, then those that shake like leaf when they handle one.

The USA has, by far, the highest per capita gun ownership in the world. Progressives will tell you that this is what makes America the Murder Capitol of Plan...
It doesn't take a Harvard Gun Study to figure this out. I began looking at publicly available data on the FBI website as well as that published on the law enforcement websites around the world after watching Bill Whittle's presentation and confirmed it for myself. This simply isn't true. I mean look at Chicago, lot of guns lot of crime...oh it is because only criminals have the guns...

LTC (Join to see) - Chicago is mostly gang on gang gun violence. Making guns illegal will not stop criminals from getting them. Also, making it easy to get will not solve it either. It will more than likely increase gun violence.

If you look at AZ you will see that Mesa is one of the safest places in the US to live, It allows open carry and conceal carry. As one person put it to me, "would you rather go to a establishment that allows guns or forbids them?" All the "no guns allowed" signs do is advertise HEY COME ROB US! And if you look at almost all of the politicians that want to ban guns, they have armed bodyguards.

1LT (Join to see) I understand and agree completely. Guns are available with no background check no govt control. Granted the average joe wouldn't be caught dead in the back ally or seedy bars where they are found. Guess its an out of sight out of mind thing.
