We see attack attempts against #1 on a daily basis. We are finally starting to get through to many of our clients, but so many resisted for so long. We monitor these things and can see when attackers are trying to get into your accounts. Just trust us.
Numbers 3 and 5 allude to the best possible way to protect yourself. Use a password manager and create unique passwords for every online service you use. Turn on 2FA where you have critical information or access (e.g., email, financial, purchasing).

SGT (Join to see) - I'm not trying to hack anyone unless they've asked me to do so and paid me for the work. If you are confident in your password strength, that's great. Most people are lazy and reuse simple, short passwords over and over. That's how trouble finds them.
