I checked out the website for The Liberal Gun Club. They claim to be non-political. They have "talking points" instead of positions, policies, or core beliefs, and they say they leave politics to the local chapters... but their talking points on regulation aren't bad at all. And by "not bad", I mean that as a 2nd Amendment conservative, I can find large areas of agreement with them. They are:
- We favor root cause mitigation for violence prevention, stronger mental health care, addressing poverty, homelessness and unemployment rather than focusing on prohibiting or restricting one tool.
- We favor enforcement of existing regulations over the creation of new regulatory schemes.
- We favor increased, accurate reporting by states for NICS reliability.
- We are in favor of mandatory safety testing as a condition of licensing for CCW
- We favor minimum standards based national CCW reciprocity
If this is the voice of liberal gun ownership, I like it a lot. I hope they can make inroads to the vitriolic gun-hating gun-blaming left.

Talking Points Regarding Regulation
In the fall of 2012, the Liberal Gun Club decided to remove its previously stated “positions.” We felt this was in keeping with our non-profit status, and allowed us to concentrate on our education mission, without delving headlong into the politics of various policy issues.

, can't tell liberal Senator Feinstein this even though she's had a gun permit for over 20 years LOL. Most people in California can I get gun permits but somehow she has one?
