Great read. I was always under the impression that we did not get any planes off at all that day. You learn something new everyday. I always thought that the story of us getting plane off was false, but now I know better. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting an interesting account SGT John " Mac " McConnell focused on Army Air Corps second lieutenant Harry Winston Brown whose birthday is today. I wonder how many pilots or tank commanders destroyed an enemy plane or tank while in their pajamas.
Brown formed as the lead ship [shouldn't that he aircraft or plane??] with 2nd Lt. Malcolm "Mike" Moore, from the 46th Pursuit Squadron from Wheeler Field.
