I read a book about his death and came away with the idea that it was murder, rather assassination, in order to stop his outbursts against Russia. He understood who the enemy was and those outbursts were treading on sensitive toes.

I grew up listening to my Dad discussing the various theories attached to Patton's death. Since am not a subscriber to conspiracy theories, I tend to believe the published cause.
