This is a joke. I remember there was a Black politician named Charles Walker who lives in Augusta. Mr Walker was extremely powerful politician and was first black Senate Majority leader. Walker wanted his son elected to the US senate so he crafted a “ black district” that stretched from Athens Georgia to Savanah, that is a distance of over 200 miles. The district looked like a spaghetti noodle thrown at a map of Georgia. Charles Walker’s son wasn’t the brightest stop light on a Georgia back road. To claim gerrymandering is a Republican conservative activity is beyond stupid.

Gerrymandering by all sides should be stopped! Districts should be set based on population period. Make them square, rectangular, whatever. But each district should have the same numbers, regardless race. Some districts I have lived in up looked like a jig-saw puzzle with a lot of missing pieces.

I guess you never heard of Corrine Brown, Congresswoman from Jacksonville Fl. Her district was a thin line linking several black communities. That's gerrymandering.
