I haven't been counting but I can guarantee that if you counted the number of Trump hit pieces produced by Chris Cillizza since he signed on with CNN in April, it would be well over 100. Make that 101. But have fun, I know I am.

"...absolutely massive moment in the ongoing special counsel probe..." Lol, ok.

Did it ever occur to you that perhaps there are so many anti-Trump pieces because, perhaps, Trump is as bad they say he is? Did you consider that perhaps Trump really is lying his ass off, really is reckless with his twitter account, really is disorganized, ignorant of the complex issues and perhaps even delusional?

That's my opinion, that he's mentally ill. I find it highly suspect that around seven-years-ago he went from a pro-choice liberal Democrat and prolific Democratic donor to a radical right-wing conspiracy theorist and serial liar. Sure, he was obnoxious as a Democrat, but he wasn't unstable.

My bad, thought you were describing Hillary.

It also occurs to me that he will be reelected in 2020 thanks in part to a democratic party with no message other than Trump. If he can get this tax plan through the economy will explode along with any democratic hopes in 2020. Everything else is just noise. But when all you've got is noise, might as well turn up the volume...at least it sells. Flynn guilty of lying? Isn't that why he was fired in the first place? Earth-shattering.

CMSgt (Join to see) - He was fired for lying, but by the Obama Admin. I think the issue is that the Trump administration dawdled in responding to the Flynn issue for 18 days after the then-acting AG Sally Yates warned officials that Flynn was lying about his phone calls with the Russian Ambassador. What seems to have ratcheted up is that the court documents offers some clues on the WH reluctance to act--that he wasn't a freelancer, and not acting alone in dealings with Kislyak, but colluding with other administration officials in the Trump transition. I have always said were I the POTUS, I would want to know if anyone around me had done so, but perhaps if you are afraid it's a family member, then maybe not. I don't think there is any predictions in tax circles for the economy growth being the explosion you mention over what it is (except the lawmakers), but when it passes (and I think it will), how it affects people is how they will vote. And even though the R's are the party of fiscal constraint, no one in our generation will worry too much about it making the future unsustainable, debt-wise. But none of this precludes the POTUS "lying his ass off" (because he does it daily). "really is reckless with his twitter account" (because he is), etc etc. I think all those are true. There is plenty of evidence for all those, regardless of the economy. You have a great point, however, that many folks don't care, and you have a good point the Dems not having a coherent message/strategy. If they do, they haven't articulated it. I would say they don't too.

I remember reading this article (attached) and a red flag went up immediately. I was disappointed when Trump selected Flynn as his NSA. However, Muller is almost one year in and the investigation still appears to have no compelling evidence of any Trump team Russian collision. And the beat goes on...

If memory serves me correctly, Bill Clinton was the last president to balance the budget but with the debt ceiling out of control, just maintaining the current level seems to be a pipe dream. Challenging times for sure.
