Disgusting! I’d say much more, but know what the PC types would have a field day.

I would have wanted a punitive discharge, but the fact is, she's done in the Navy. 59% pass rate on rules of the road? You can't even get a civilian license at that grade. Jesus. Everyone gets caught up in the sexy fact that these are bad-assed warships...BUT THEY ARE SHIPS FIRST AND FOREMOST BEFORE ANY OTHER ROLE! 59%. Just...wow.

LT Brad McInnis - I'm assuming they had a Navigation brief prior to departure; either that 'new officer' didn't attend or didn't bother asking anybody what a TSS was. I can tell you we were using simulators in San Diego eighteen years ago - we had it for a week and all our teams used it for dozens of scenarios. Yokosuka and Sasebo had bridge simulators installed in early 2004 - all Fleet Concentration Areas received them.

CDR Dan Cunningham - The Navy cancelled the simulation training later that decade.

SN Greg Wright - Seriously? I wonder who received a LOM for that 'brilliant' decision.

If it makes you Navy boys feel any better, poor training is not just with the Navy.

The simple truth is this officer's career is over with. She got seven Sailors killed no one will trust her in a command position for the rest of her life. She will go nowhere on no station and no ship for the rest of her career without somebody knowing within hours of her arriving what happened aboard Fitzgerald
