Don't they have anything better to do?
Prayers have been said before every legislative session in Congress since the founding.
I don't know what the record is in states. but here in MN it happens every time too.

So I guess some organization that didn't even hear the prayer should bitch about it, right?

1SG Jason Hastings - I'll bet if an Imam gave the same prayer, we wouldn't have heard anything about it from these guys.

Capt Gregory Prickett not a government official. It was an invited clergyman for the invocation.

Capt Gregory Prickett except it isn't a violation unless this particular state has some kind of state/ religion establishment clause in its state constitution. the federal prohibition would seem to not apply as well, since the House and Senate chaplains do it every day, with the occasional guest speaker

Capt Gregory Prickett - So why does both Houses of Congress begin every session with an ecumenical prayer? Are they (insert joke here) scofflaws?
