FBI investigators have identified a single suspect in the death of a US Capitol police officer during the pro-Trump riot last month, reports say.

Officer Brian Sicknick collapsed and died after being sprayed in the face with a chemical substance, believed to be bear spray, while defending the Capitol Building on 6 January.

Investigators have now pinpointed a suspect in a video who attacked Mr Sicknick and other officers with bear spray, officials told the New York Times.

While authorities have narrowed down their search to one attacker, they reportedly do not yet have a name for the suspect.

This unfortunately is BS. Sicknick died of unknown causes the day AFTER the riot. Sicknick was not hit with anything. More fake news. https://www.newsweek.com/fact-check-was-capitol-police-officer-brian-sicknick-killed-rioters-1571891 The cause of death has not been released and the New York Times has backed off it’s claim he was hit n the head with a fire extinguisher.

Note the number of unnamed sources etc. Seems a lot of unnamed FBI sources were involved in information on Russian collusion. The death of Sicknick is politicized now and we may never know the truth. Capt Gregory Prickett - you post it. I provided credible sources who actually gave their names. I am not sure what happened but even the New York Times admitted it got the story wrong. At this point my opinion, backed up by the police Union is as valid as others speculations!
