I'll be honest, I no longer trust snopes.... http://www.forbes.com/sites/kalevleetaru/2016/12/22/the-daily-mail-snopes-story-and-fact-checking-the-fact-checkers/

Ok you agree with the Forbes opinion piece that reference Snopes accuracy of fact checking of a Daily Mail article as an example. I will say Snopes have produced analysis that criticized both Conservative and Liberal leaning articles; and when they don't have a definitive answer at least they say "unproven" instead of making up an argument.
Back to original topic, do you think Trump had all the facts before making his tweet or just going off of what he heard on a TV show?

Trump's tweet cuts to the root of the issue.
Democrats were strongly critical of Bush over Gitmo. It is reasonable to believe Bush started releasing Gitmo prisoners because of this political pressure.
Obama campaigned to close Gitmo no matter what. He supported the Bush releases and wanted them accelerated. Therefore Obama owns this problem.
Finally Trump is no more aligned with Bush than he is Obama. Both represent a corrupt establishment elite that have isolated themselves from the people and insulated themselves from their will via the permanent bureaucracy unchangeable by elections.

Interesting argument. Obama is still responsible for the detainees that were released under Bush's watch. And his campaign to close Gitmo ran into Congressional roadblocks but it's still Obama's fault for anything that happened that had Bush's signature.
Believe I heard that same argument in regards to the Iraq withdrawal timeline; Bush's signature was on the agreement with Iraqi government, Obama just continued to execute the agreement with GOP criticism. Makes sense to me.

Obama owns Gitmo problem because he wanted dangerous people released. What later happened in Iraq is exactly what Pelosi and Obama wanted to happen. Obama was pissed the surge worked and fired all the military leadership that did not want to lead from behind. There was a Status of Forces agreement issue but that was an excuse. He wanted Iraq to fail because he could then blame Bush.

As much as I hate to admit it, but yes. Only use a medium to promulgate a message with context, THAT HAS BEEN VERIFIED!
