EXCLUSIVE: Marine Corps May Add Fourth Phase To Boot Camp

If done right I think this could be beneficial. The one part I’m not sure on is calling your drill instructor by their rank. Fearing your drill instructor carries over to the fleet in higher ranks which is good for new Marines. This might backfire and start young Marines down the path of thinking they are independent or have less to learn from higher ranks once they hit the fleet. I think it should just add a few days to basic training instead of trying to fit it in though.
