Yesterday, SFC James J. Palmer IV aka "JP4" Posted a couple stories concerning The black pilots of Tuskegee were able to prove once and for all that black pilots were no different than white pilots and they could kill Germans and protect the 17 bomber formations.
What many of you don't know is that France was not racist like the USA and they actually allowed an American black man to be the 1st African American fighter pilot in World War I. This was 25 years before the Tuskegee Flight school began.
President Clinton finally gave him recognition and his record shows him posthumously as a second lieutenant in the US Air Force.
