Deployment of Starlink Kits: FEMA has organized the delivery of approximately 500 Starlink kits to assist areas impacted by Hurricane Helene. This initiative aims to restore internet connectivity in regions severely affected by the storm

Free Internet Service: In partnership with the Biden Administration, Starlink is offering 30 days of free Internet service to individuals in the disaster zone. This service is available to both new and existing customers residing in affected areas.
Coordination with Federal Efforts: The Biden administration has emphasized its commitment to supporting recovery efforts, which includes coordinating with companies like Starlink to ensure that essential services are restored quickly.
Currently, there are no reports of utility companies such as power, water, or gas providers offering free services specifically to hurricane victims.
In contrast, the Biden/Harris administration has given $157M for disaster relief to Lebanon, In addition, they still provide free flights to the destination of choice for illegals, with a cell phone, and when granted asylum, as well as some other humanitarian migrants, are entitled to certain public benefits, including cash assistance related to their initial resettlement and shelter.

Why are some people finding the need to criticize Musk for his efforts to bring comms to NC after this unprecedented event? Makes me curious to know if these same people complained when AT&T moved in on Haiti in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake to get brand new cell towers in place…. Sure they went in to help the people communicate, but it is also a strategy to enable long range business too. So what?
