Who is that actor on the right?? Looks familiar from other than BOB..
In reading accounts of this unit I was always flabbergasted at the intensity of the fighting they were involved in which they appeared to be called upon to attack entrenched Germans head-on with absolutely no artillery support of any kind. This confounds the mind of the average grunt who is conditioned to work with and expects integrated and coordinated intensive artillery and other indirect fire support.
