Two targets were killed and another person was injured in a drone strike against the Islamic State affiliate ISIS-K in retaliation for the Kabul airport attack, the Pentagon now says.
Defense Department officials announced Friday evening that a drone strike killed an ISIS-K target in the Nangarhar province of Afghanistan. On Saturday, officials updated that to say that two "high-profile" targets — described as "a planner and a facilitator" — were killed and one other person from the terrorist group was injured in the retaliatory strike.
Pentagon officials offered more information Saturday about continued operations in Afghanistan, including evacuation efforts and the drone strike.

Air strikes feel good, but not effective. After all the Clinton air strikes, there was still 9/11.

Funny how Donnie let Kushner do all of the state department work EXCEPT the treaty with the Taliban. Maybe we should of really had professionals do this stuff. But regardless, Biden struck back instead of sending the 'Armada' (Carl Vinson) in the wrong direction.

This was a quick retaliation against a group that is growing and will not be going away any time soon. We should've attacked more than just the leader of the group. How about target their logistics or communication nodes and removing their ability to communicate and fight. It just seems we always do this and guess what, nothing changes because there will always been someone to replace the guy we just took out.
