Donald Trump Jr has weighed in on Saturday Night Live continuing to film in front of a live studio audience, despite New York governor Andrew Cuomo's warnings that renewed restaurant restrictions could be on the way due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Should these heightened restrictions return to the state, SNL would be able to stay operational due to the fact that they pay audience members $150 for their participation, which essentially makes them paid individuals who "work" for the show.
"Because bad ‘comedy’ is essential but you being able to feed you families and keep your small businesses’ doors open is not," the president’s eldest son, who tested positive for coronavirus in November, wrote on Twitter.

Is it possible they hired all those people that attended holiday parties hosted by the Trump family?
On a serious note, has SNL responded? I’m curious to know if they are paying people $150 to sit in the audience and how many people are in the audience? I haven’t been watching the live broadcasts; just snippets on YouTube.

Isn't Cuomo the one who sent all the nursing home residents into one place which killed a lot of them? Later determined to be a rehearsal for what is to come for senior citizens.

He's got a point... SNL being with a Live Audience- But I can't go get a steak and a beer in NYC? Other comedy clubs, live performances are banned too! Bad optics, if not downright dumb! There's got to be some way to open up & stay safe for Live Performers (plexi-glass between performers/audience... distancing, etc.)
