Oh please, let it be not just a wave, but a tsunami. With Democratic majorities in BOTH chambers (unlikely, but not impossible) we could impeach Trump and Pence and then the Democratic Speaker becomes POTUS and can fire all of those horrible cabinet members (looking at you Pai, Devos, Sessions and Mnuchin).

I'm no fan of Trump and his beliefs on... well everything really, but impeachment is a long long long way off. Impeachment on Pence is even further off in the distance. Also impeachment should never, ever be used because you disagree with politics not only is it unconstitutional, but it sets a dangerous precedent going forward.

SPC David Willis - They would impeach him for obstructing justice or for committing high crimes and misdemeanors (hate speech or inciting violence perhaps?). They might also impeach him for fraud based on his many blatant lies in his official capacity, or perhaps as a danger to national security. There is also the emoluments clause which prohibits government officials from self-dealing, which Trump has done a lot of.
I don't think a Democratic house would have trouble finding an impeachable offense (not the same as a criminal offense), and if they did vote for impeachment (as the GOP house did against President Clinton), a Democratic senate would likely convict.

It is a provablessing offense. But congress gets to decide whay is and is not an impeace offence. They have no need to use an existing statute
