"Is this an accurate depiction of the present state of our military?"
An army that doesn't invite religious bigots to speak at their prayer breakfasts? I sure hope that's the case.

I guess I don't fully understand the question, "is this an accurate depiction of the present state of our military?"
It would, however, seem inappropriate to have the Family Research Council (FRC) speak at a military event (and taxpayer-funded) for a few reasons. To set aside the dubious Constitutionality of prayer breakfasts in general (see: Amendment I, US Constitution), and Christian prayer breakfasts specifically, the FRC openly opposes the Army Values and the Army's Equal Opportunity Program. It is the FRC's policy to demonize homosexuals, which I shouldn't have to remind anyone is a protected group under EO.

Capt Seid Waddell
CPT (Join to see), so, it you believe that it was proper to cancel the event, the answer would be "yes".
