When I lived on Budd Inlet--the southernmost part of the Puget Sound--in the early '60s, we had a large mothball fleet anchored near the harbor. Used to love going out in my boat and buzzing around them. One of them was the USS New Jersey, which they pulled out and sent to Bremerton for refitting for Vietnam . . .
