I hate the switch. By the time I get used to it, it's time to switch again. BUT (you saw that coming, didn't you?) we should leave our clocks on standard time. Daylight Savings Time doesn't work in the winter. We tried leaving our clocks set to DST year round before and it will fail again just as it did then. Why? Standard time works year round. DST doesn't because the Sun doesn't rise early enough in the winter. People couldn't adjust to waking and preparing for their day in the dark. Parents were especially vocal because its dangerous sending children off walking to bus stops or school in the dark.
