I have railed against American journalists sufficiently enough for people to be tired of it. Okay, that's fair. Here, let someone else do it for me. This story from Andrew Klavan tells very succinctly the importance of reporting the news fairly. Yes, for any journalist to be completely unbiased. However, in another time they had ways of dealing with it. They kept their stories brief and stuck to verifiable facts. Opinions were reserved for the opinion pages. And, there were competing news media with competing points of view. Well, none of this is true anymore and, as a result, news isn't true anymore. It is nothing more than narrative designed to advance an agenda.
