Years ago there was an anti-war ad showing combatant nations climbing to the top of a hill and duking it out, Add in Comgress and most combat would end. The unfortunate part is I wouldn't be sure who would win. I'm good with cyber or drones if someone's relative's life is saved. We have the intellect and technology or can subcontract it out.
