CSMs could be screened the same way as battalion commanders

I think its bull shit, Battalion Commanders only spend 1 to 2 years in command. Once a CSM, always a CSM. Just another waste of time and money. It seem like each new SMA brings with him a new brand of BS. This policy change would just end up with less SGM wanting to go through a long drawn out board process. I'd bet this gets nowhere.
