Google Translate does a literal translation, not idiomatic, I think... hence the results being way off or incorrect.
Why the sudden interest in Russian?

It's a silly facebook post, with some silly posters. Don't worry about Russia, there are more prevalent problems we need to worry about... All kinds of articles and statements are given and pop-up in here, domestically, and there is no outcry, condemnation or appropriate action taken - the last I want to worry about is some miscalculated propaganda/ruse about a Russian statement (coming from the internet).
Don't hate the player, hate the game...

Google, Bing, Babble are the absolute worst to use for translation. I just learned the language.
