In this age of information, it is akin to the protestant reformation. CNN like the catholic church, controlled all the information (news) and there was little doubt in it's reporting, because, there was no way to refute their point (like how the bible was in latin and only the priests could read it). Now with free access to the internet, people are able to connect across the world in seconds, watch whole source materials instead of short clips shown on the news (convington kids), and educate themselves instead of someone else telling them how or what to think.

I'm not saying there's no place for CNN, but, honesty is the best policy. And when you build a house of lies, it tends to come tumbling down hard and fast.
