I hate that this happened to this CPT, but it is imperative that we practice tact. There are many incidences that service members of all ranks do not think this apply to them. At any rate, I hope this CPT and the others aboard the ship get to feeling better soon.

I don't know if "tact" is the appropriate premise we're discussing. I believe it's "protocol" that's a point of contention here. Was the protocol appropriate for discussing a ship's status? Also, chain of command wise, I'm still confused. He was the aircraft carrier commander. That, for me, means one ship. What about the other part of the "team?"

SGM Robert Murray, it was stat d that his letter “was all over the place”. However, protocal is a other factor as well. Ethics and morals always seem to clash.

MAJ Ken Landgren - Do you, sir. Not a debate. If I were your platoon sergeant, if I were your 1SG, if I were your S3 NCOIC, we would have that devil's advocate conversation. You gonna make the final decision and we're going to run with it. That's what we do. Just understand. The whole topic was flushed out, dissected, debated and discussed. You can NEVER say there wasn't any negative feedback even if it were the right decision. That's the military I know and I'm never upset if many don't agree. with me. That's leadership.

I see another jackass is born in RP, and you are impeccable at it. Don’t bother to post, you will waste your time. SGM Robert Murray

MAJ Ken Landgren - Sad your disrespect. I'll not react in kind with your disrespect because that's never been me. You sound like a really poor officer. Glad I never had to work with you much less for you. Betcha others felt the same way about you. Seek help, sir.

As with any other person, they have protocols in place. I personally know ten (10) who have tested positive. More importantly, they are all asymptomatic. So. . .battle capable? Fit for duty?
