Can IT ever be left of boom? [Commentary]

The threat has definitely evolved as IT and networking as evolved. Can we ever get ahead of the threat, that's a hard question. Much as we develop new tactics to counter enemy tactics on the battlefield, I am thinking that we (the good guys) will forever be adapting to some new attack. I have heard about implementing AI in the process and that may offer some solutions, but the human mind is quite a machine and when put to a task of infiltrating a network or system it would be hard to predict.
