Many have a misconception about this. The article explains it and I am receiving 100% VA scheduler disability and I still work. It depends on your individual condition and rather it's permanent or you claimed unemployable status.

If caught you can lose your disability pay.

SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth That is correct for the ones that have claim unemployable. However if you 100% on a straight scheduler disability there is no stipulation that you can't work. It's perfectly legal.

SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth - If I'm reading the article correctly, someone can be considered unemployable and still work a bit. The determining factor appears to be total income from work -- if it exceeds the individual poverty level then the veteran's disability benefits are at risk.
