Once the "Build-A-Ramp for Veterans" program is officially started the process will first consist of:
1. Proof of Veteran's status.
2. Proof of Home Ownership or Permission from Landlord to build the ramp.
There will be a new page on the Disabled Vet Assistance website called "Build-A-Ramp" that Veterans can use to request assistance. Once a request is made and verified Disabled Vet Assistance will reach out to the local licensed contractors in the Veteran's area to get the work done. The "Build-A-Ramp for Veterans" program would pay for the installation of the ramp, as long as funds were available.
