Some of these I agree with... others surprise me. "The Alamo" for instance...maybe some patriotic Texans found it a bit too "human" in its treatment of the "Big Three", but I thought Billy Bob's impression of Crockett came a darn site closer than John Wayne's in "Thirteen Days to Glory". "Hart's War" seemed well-written and executed to me... I'm just not sure it's based on enough actual history to have much merit beyond being thought provoking. As for "Gods and Generals"? Well... it's not among my favorites in terms of accurate portrayals. However, Jackson was every bit the complicated charismatic Stephen Lang portrayed him as... I doubt he ever had the "conversation" with "Jim" depicted, but having studied the man profusely-neither would I call it "impossible". The fact that "Top Gun" and "Iron Eagle" aren't on the very TOP of this list makes me question the compilers' logic a bit... and frankly, the overall current I detect here is that if the movie evokes too many "hard questions"... it's "crap".

Looks like they're basing it solely on how much money each movie lost. That's only one criteria. Plenty of cheesy war movies did well. What about the 7,588 sequels to First Blood? At least 4,000 of those should be on the list, but they were cash cows.

John Wayne was in 'The Alamo', not 13 days, I believe that was Fess Parker

The Hurt Locker should be #1 on this list

I don't entirely agree with this list. I actually loved Windtalkers, though I do agree the film should of been more from the point of view of Adam Beaches Character, but I liked the overall story. There's not many War movies I don't like, except the ones that make us look stupid. I'm not a big fan of In the Army now with Paule shore.
