Biden picks retired general Lloyd Austin to run Pentagon

I’m just not a fan of retired generals as SecDef. This is no knock on GEN Austin, just seems to me to violate the intent of civilian control if someone can rotate out of a star billet and then into the Pentagon a few years later. Give me a post-command O6 who retired 10 years ago and ran a (non defense contractor) corporation or something
