If you want another injustice...
There is NO recourse for holding civilians accountable for lying in military courts...because they have no jurisdiction over civilians.
So a civilian who lies or brings false charges to a service member does so with impunity, knowing that there is nothing the military court or non-judicial system can do to hold them accountable.
The ONLY avenue available to the military to hold civilians accountable is through the civilian court systems. Which means the GOVERNMENT has to actually pursue criminal charges through a civilian court.
This is so cost prohibitive and time prohibitive that it's a virtual certainty that it never happens.
