Maj Robert Thornton Best to check your equipment before heading into the wilds. Brave dog protecting its master. Poor dog. My condolences to the owner of the dog.

It's like here on the island, deep see fishing.
When you hook a 100+lb marlin, and pull it up to the boat side, Don't look over the side at it, that fish might just come out of the water, and Slap you on the face, and say "Good Morning Fool."

I use a special kind of bear spray - it's called 44 magnum. Carry it whenever and wherever I hunt.

Makes you appreciate the freedoms you have in America. In Canada you don't get the luxury of carrying a pistol for self defense.

SGT Cody Skinner - Yes sir, I do cherish the freedoms granted our Constitution. I have many Canadian friends, mainly military or police. I wish your great country could have the same. Thank you.

CDR, I used the same kind of spray, very effective for everything, a catch all. But, sometimes, I interduce it to 357.

SGT (Join to see) - Most of my wheel guns are .357s - my favorite all around caliber. I also use them when shooting SASS matches.

There an old joke about black bears being scared by bells, brown bears being repeled by pepper spray.... and grizzly scat smelling like pepper and having bells in it.
