Back when cameras used... Floppy Disks? Sony Mavica

Never used it. IMHO, the first professional digital camera I used was the Kodak DCS 420. As long as you understood its' limitations, you could produce great professional quality images. After the 420, we got the first issue of the Nikon D1 up at Eielson AFB. My favorite pro DSLR ever used was either the Nikon D2s or the Olympus E-3. I've had images shot with the Nikon D1s enlarged to 44x100, viewed from a normal viewing distance, they've look wonderful. Images from my E-3s enlarged to 11x17 are flawless. Of course, I massage all my images in Photoshop, so quality isn't really an issue.

I had a Sony, back in the day, actually two before I moved up to a better and faster camera, but they were the best at the time. Great at scenery and friends and famiiy. I still have many of those first shots that have been transferred over to CD's, and a few that are still in frames. I almost never used them on any professional shoots I did, unless I did a snap to show the clients what the 35mm and large format would look like before I went totally digital. Now I still keep my 35mm handy for sentimental reasons with a fresh roll of film ready to go.
