It wasn't long ago last year I believe that then Chief of Staff USAF Mark Welsch was reporting the Air Force was literally running out of bombs.

PFC (Join to see) - I was Amazed during my Tour in Diego Garcia at the Amount of Bombs stored there from Vietnam that were still being PMd and Kept Ready for the Next Thing.

I'm just surprised we had enough to do that I remember hearing that the strategic bomber fleet was not what it once was in terms of ordnance because I heard the stock were low I guess not.

I think the shortage is not on the bomb bodies themselves but on the parts that turn dumb bombs into smart bombs. Also the real sophisticated bombs like JADM.
